In this locality people believed that if you drank half a pint of flax water daily for a week, it would cure toothache.
Mary Barney drank it, and was cured.
She is living still.
Some believe that there is a remedy in spa-water for rheumatism. If you wash yourself in it three times in succession the rheumatism will leave you.
