  1. There is a Cnocán in the top of John Kelly's Leact named Cnocán an Aifrinn. It is supposed that it was used as a place for saying mass by the priests long ago in the time of the Penal Days. There is a well above it and it never dried and it is said that it was blessed by the priests that time. One day Mike Sheehan was cutting turf above it and he found a piece of a blessed candle. It is supposed that it was a blessed candle the priests had. Fr. Casey P.P. has that bit of candle now.
