There are three banks in the lake now. Long ago these banks were near the lake and it is said that these banks used to move. So at last they were seen going into the lake. Eyery morning they used to stir and if they would stir when a person would be making the rounds it was a sure sign of a cure. Sometimes when the banks used to move they used to go in a line across the lake or on to each other in the middle of the lake. There was a Saileach tree growing out of one of the banks and it is said that it withered many years ago but it never died out or never got green again. It is to be seen there still.
It is said that long ago the people used to see three soft sods rising out from one of the banks. These three sods were somewhat like the shape of a duck, legs and all, and the last sod used to be lame. The people used call these three sods the Triopols. When(continues on next page)- Collector
