Ar an leathanach seo

  1. A game for boys usually played on the road. A large stone representing the duck is placed in the centre of the road and the players toe a line some twenty feet away. Each is armed with a stone of a few pounds weight called a drake.
    Each drake is aimed pitch-and -toss fashion towards the duck and the player whose drake is furthest away from the mark (the duck) is obliged to put his weapon on the large stone. The others then retire to the mark. Their object now is to dislodge the drake from the duck, his owner standing a short distance away.
    Supposing numbers one and two fail to strike the drake and number three does the trick, numbers one and two make a rush for their drakes and make for the mark. If the owner of the dislodged drake succeeds in putting his bird back on the duck and manages to touch either player one or two on his way to the line the person touched or "caught" is then
