  1. An Ancient Castle
    In the vicinity of Carrig, there stands an old ruined castle. Noting remains of it now but the walls with a shroud of ivy around it. There is a river near it. It is said that in years gone by there was a graveyard attached to it. This was in league with the fairies and there was a white thorn tree at the top of the graveyard.
    Hundreds of years ago a man was residing near the castle. He had a small garden attached to the graveyard. The white-thorn tree was gradually expanding over his little garden. He was seized
