In the olden times the women used to spin wool to make frys coats for the men, before spinning the wool they would colour different parts of the wool with colours to suit their taste. They colour one part black with black mud taken from the land that could be got only in the four parts of the country another part would be coloured by boiling a branch from a certain tree, when they'd have all the parts coloured, theyed mix them all up well with a hand card and with these cards turned out the roll for the spinning wheel then when the spinning was done it was send to the waver who lived in the country(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
