If two boys get nearer to the middle of the ring than the others, then these two boys keep pitching until one boy gets nearer to the middle of the ring than the other.
   Then someone else throws for the boy who won at pitching for hands. If he (present thrower) throws it outside the ring then the other boy has three whacks at the buck. If he throws it on the edge of the ring the other boy has one whack at the buck but if he throws it into the middle of the ring the other boy has no whack at the buck and has to pass the stick on to the thrower. The stick is passed round in the same way with the rest.
   Whether the stricker has one or three whacks at the buck he drives it a certain distance. He then puts the stick in the centre of the
