Tim Mulready. - On one occasion the Holy Family were closely purused by Herod's soldiers and they took refuge in a cave which had a narrow opening. No sooner had they entered than a spider started to weave his web across the opening. When the soldiers arrived and saw the big cobweb they said that no one entered there or if anyone did they seal would be broken. To the present day many people think it unlucky to kill a spider.
