Ar an leathanach seo
- Before the men sow the potatoes they dig or plough the land. Then they gather the weeds and burn them. They mark out ridges three feet wide and any length they like. They also manure the land.
Then they cut the potatoes in two, by the eyes. When they have them cut, they gather the "scelps" and give them to the pigs. They drop the potatoes then and leave them a foot apart. This is called the dropping of the potatoes.
