    Old Houses
    The old houses used to be made of mud and used to be thatched with withered potato stalks long ago. Some of the houses had only one room.
    The houses used to have a bed in the kitchen and it was called a settle-bed. Some of the houses had no door but a little hole in the wall to go in an out.
    The chimney used to made of red clay and wattles and there was a small window and there was a slate in the window in the Summer time. Some of them had no chimneys but as small
