    hawk and the magpie build their nests in very high trees. The partridge builds in corn fields. The jackdaw builds in chimneys. The curlew builds in bogs.
    The wren's nest is made of moss with a small hole in the side of it and the eggs are blue in colour. The robin's nest is made of moss and feathers, and the eggs are brown with little spots. The blackbird's nest is made of moss, hay, and hair, and the eggs are green. The thrush's nest is made of moss and mud and the eggs are brown. The sparrow's nest is made of moss and wool and the eggs are blue. The yellow-yarn's nest is made of moss and wool and the eggs are green. The swallow's nest is made of moss, mud, hay, and lined with feathers, and the eggs are white and brown. The willy-wag-tail's nest is made of moss and grass and the eggs are green.
