  1. Song (ar lean)

    I was bent one time to travel some beauty spots to see

    (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)
    The Southern countries I roamed through,
    I saw scenery fine and gay;
    Although quite fair could not compare
    To beautiful Lough Tea.
    I then came home, intent to roam,
    The countries of the West,
    To see some beauty spots there -
    I heard they were the best.
    From scenes at home I might not roam,
    To places far away,
    There is no place that I could trace
    To beautiful Lough Tea.
    A most attractive place is here
    It is called the Eagle's Nest.
    Where the Irish giant, Finn Mc Cool.
    Sat down to rest.
    This place is called Finn's wishing chair,
    Where lovers they stray there.
    To try their luck and there a wish to tell
    When in the chair let folks beware,
    That laughing breaks the spell.
    To find what this chair is made of -
    Mix a pronoun and a tree;
    Then shake up some part of music
