- This game is played in the summer time when the roads and pavements are dry.
First you mark out five beds with chalk and number them one, two, three, four, five. Then you get a small flat stone or slate called a "picky". You throw the picky into number one bed, and hop on one leg up to number five and back again. If you put your foot on a line you are "out" and the next girl gets her turn. Next you throw the picky into No 2 bed and hop on one leg up to No 5, and back again. Then into No 3, and then into No 4 hopping up to the fifth and back again each time. You cant put your two feet down in No 5 when the picky is in it. Then you throw the picky into No 4 hop up to No 4 and back again, then into No 3, and so on to No 1.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
