    The coffin was made by some local carpenter, who did not charge any money for his work. He got plenty of whiskey to drink however.
    On the day of the funeral everyone who came was brought into the house and was treated to a glass of whiskey or wine.
    The coffin was carried to the graveyard on the shoulders of the men. This was always done even when the graveyard was three or four miles distant from the home.
