- Wedding Customs
Patrick Mc Cann says that most weddings take place in February. There is an old rhyme telling us the lucky and unlucky days to get married on.
Some get married in the parish church of the bride and give wedding party in the groom's house. Others go to Dublin. Before the year nineteen hundred people used to get married at nine. When the bride and groom are coming out of the church rice is thrown on them.
