  1. The evergreens are the yew, the boxwood, the holly and the laurel. They are very nice for decorating gardens. The boxwood makes a nice hedge. Those shrubs never lose their leaves and that is why they are called evergreens. The ivy is also an evergreen. It is a climbing plant. It cannot grow by itself and it is found growing on gables of houses and on trees.
