  1. Local Song 1880

Good bye into you boolcram mór.

    I
    Goodbye into you Coolcran mór.
    My childhood happy home.
I was obliged to leave you
    And go abroad to Roam.
Far from my friends and parents
    It grieves my heartful sore.
But to part from my true lover
It grieves me ten times more
    II
    Many is the pleasant rambler
    I took along the lake,
Where the wild-duck and the widgeon,
    There habitation make.
    Where the wildgeese during winter.
    Takes up their abode.
And the snow white swan in summer.
Comes there to hatch her brood
