This stone is to be seen in this field between Captain Hamilton’s residence and Ballintra. Old people say that this stone was carried some distance by a giant and dropped in this field. When he was letting it fall he named it “A Wishing Stone of Marriage.” A person going there to wish must wish some distance away from the stone.
