  1. Long ago there were ghosts in the country. These fhosts were generally seen about midnight. The people were afraid to stay out late at night. One night a farmer had a sick cow and he had to go to town to get some stuff he needed for her. When he was coming home he saw a large man dressed in white. This man followed him to a river, and then he disappeared. The old people said to see this was a warning before death.
