    1. This was cured by old women. It was supposed that a rib was turned in this causing a pain in the side. This was cured by the person going to bed. A tumbler of hot water was pressed on the side and then it took out the rib.
    A pain.
    1 What was left after the twelfth night was kept up. When anyone had a pain they broke it into twelve parts in honour of the twelve apostles and left it on the pain and it was cured.
