    I have been processed for rent and ran short of the gale
    I sold my last beast in the town of Rathkeale
    To a crafty old fellow I met at the fair
    And they called him poor Paddy the Jobber from Clare.

    The bargain was made and the money paid down.
    He called for a treat before leaving the town
    He drank up his porter and grinned like a bear
    'Tis like creamery milk said the Jobber from Clare.
