    There was a well at Mealwood (Minakill) Jamestown, which is now dry.

    There was a well at Mealwood (Minakill) Jamestown, which is now dry. At one time one man owned the whole townland of Mealwood. People used to come to the well for water and he stopped them, this way.
    One day he was out walking with his dogs. He shot one of the dogs and threw him into the well. The well went dry after that. But another well sprung up in a gripe between Tully and Mealwood.
    There was a well in Michael Gilbane's land, Mealwood. It went dry too. Another well sprang up in Mr Kelly's land across the road.
    There was an old church in Manna Gabur(?) bog, near Lisdaulkey. All that remains
