  2. There is a Fairy Pass in Aghaslane and from that down to Boneil fort. Many a person long ago saw the fairies, and heard them pass laughing and talking. In Aughaslane there is or should say was, a fort, for John Flynn in whose land it was cut every bush of it about 10 or 15 years ago for fuel, as he had only bad wet turf at the time. Nothing happened to John on account of the destruction, but a good few cattle died on him from time to time afterwards, and he had to go to America soon after.
    Of course he might have to go anyhow, as he was never very fond of work at home.
