  2. I remember one night coming from a wake about 10 or 12 years ago. Tommy's Tom was along with me. A short time before we left, Tom Wilfrid took his departure and he had a lantern.
    When we came to a certain field we saw Wilfrid's light, as we thought. I said "Though Wilfrid has a lantern, he is gone astray." At the same time the light turned from that part of the hedge which we could see by its aid, and advanced towards us. I then said "He heard us talking, and he is coming back as he has lost his way."
