  1. Long ago the nobles who were living in Ballymacquim Castle had a great feast. Two nobles who had been invited wanted to marry the lord's daughter. The night of the feast all the nobles were there, and the lord's daughter was there also.
    It was very late when it was over, and the lord invited them to stay. That night when all were asleep one of the nobles who was in love with the lady rose from his bed and got his sword and went to the other man to kill him. He struck him with a sword. He though it was his head he cut off but instead it was his legs.
    The man went back to bed satisfied . Next morning all arose and
