  1. There was once a man and he was going to a dance one night at about 11 o'clock and when he was about half way to the dance he heard a noise and as the noise was at his side he went to the other side and he began to wonder what it was but at last he saw a woman standing in front of him. He looked at her and saluted her but she never saluted him. He got frightened almost to death but the woman spoke at last and said.
What is keeping you out so late at night? and he said nothing but she said "I have met your father before to night but he was not as quite as you. He asked me to take a drive and I did not tell him any thing but I will tell some thing to you. When you go home the fine mare I saw by your father will die at the very minute you go inside your own door".
