  1. A large stone six and a half feet high, bearing prints of a man's hand lies near Farranfore. The reason for this is that a giant long ago sent his servant on a message. The servant went on his way. He met some people whom the giant did not like, and began talking to them. The giant saw him and there was a stone near him on the ground. He lifted his sword and cut it in two pieces and threw one of the pieces after his servant. It hit the heel of his boot and landed on a mountain called Ballydunlea.
