  1. One of our mile distance runners about thirty years ago was Morris Dunne of Ballinorig, Tralee. He won many prizes at sports. Mr. James Walsh Mounthawk was a long distance runner and he won many prizes also. Mr. J.J. Foley was a great weight thrower of Listowel and also won several prizes. Mr. John Dillon Drumcunning Abbeydorney was the greatest step dancer in Ireland about thirty years ago. Mr. Denis OConnor the Mall, Tralee was the best tenor in the whole of Ireland about twenty five years ago. The late Mr. J.P. OSullivan, Killorglin, Co Kerry was the best all round athlete in Ireland about forty years ago.
