- Nally's house at Newpass, Rathowen, is built on a fort and the fairies have a pass through the house. The Nallys can never lock their door at night or the plates and things on the dresser would be broken.
In the yard there is a pump hole. They tried to sink a pump three times. The first time they tried, the handle was taken out of it. The second time it was left on the floor to them. The third time, Michael Nally's son was going to try it again and his father said the Good people had a "pass" that way. The son said they could make another "pass". The next night the pump was thrown into the bed with him.- Informant
