  1. Every night a light used to rise in a field in Strokestown (beside Moredarragh). There were trees growing there, and the light used to rise over them. Then it used to go back slowly and disappear into (Matty MacCormack's fort in Moredarragh.

  2. A man was leading a horse by a well at Kilshrewley. The horse jumped into the well and disappeared. Anyone that ever went to the well, after that with a bucket or gallon, it would be taken out of their hands.
