He was coming out of a house one night and he met a crowd of fairies on the road, and they had a coffin along with them and they made him carry it as far as Killahurk fort and they smelt the clay there and they said they would not bury it there. They would say, "Who will carry the coffin", and another would say, Who but Francie Mac Manus, and who will dig the hole, and they would say, "Who, but Francie Mac Manus, and who will cover it, and they would say, "Who but Francie Mac Manus", and they made him carry it to Fenagh.
There was a man coming from a fair, and he was drunk and there was a crowd of Fairies dancing in Killaburk fort and music playing, and he said to them, "Hellow, boys you are topping dancers and they ran after him and caught him by the shoulder and had him leaping ditches and bog holes the whole night.
