    When the potatoes were all dug there was a feast held on the last night and the women made Stampy. This was made by grating raw potatoes, squeezing them in a cloth and mixing a little flour with them, making them into a thin cake and baking them on a griddle. They were eaten hot with butter. This feast was called Closure.
