- There was a man and he was going to the Killarney fair and he had a friend near Beaufort and he stayed there for a bit of the night, and he heard an awful noise coming shaking the road. There was a split on the top of the door that you could see out. His friend was in the fairies and he warned him not to look out, - but he looked through the split and he saw something on wheels tearing along the road. Then his friend woke and he said to him that he looked out the door and he warned him not to go until it turned again. It returned and went into Knockane charge and the man went to the fair and nothing happened to him.
