    There was two youngsthers at wan time, a boy, an a girl.

    got tangled in a fork o' the three, an' in thryin to looshen it out he losht his balance, an' was left hangin, is the pair found him. They thried to looshen the beard, but it was as badly tangled is that they could make no hand o' it, so for fear they'd keep the little man too long laughin the girl got out a scissors, an' cut the beard, an the little man fell to the ground.
    He got up, an' insthead o' thankin' the little girl for releasin' him, he stharted, ta sthamp his feet on the ground, an' ta get very angry, an' sez he to the little girl "I think ye big people are very sthupid. Ye never know how to do anything"
    "Why" sez the little girl
    "There you are agin" sez he, Do you not think it was a stupid act on your part to cut my lovely beard insthed o' looshtenin it out gradually from the fork o' the three," an' he went off wit himsel, like a half plucked willy-wag-tail
