   Patrick Brogan was the best man for making baskets. He would put four sticks in a sod. Then he would weave smaller ones in between till he would have the basket made. Then he would sell the basket. Miss Thornton always made her own thread. First she would wash the wool and put oil on it called rape-oil which was used for the purpose.
