  1. Food is the main support of the body, and without it nobody could live. The different kinds of food build up the different parts of the body. Some of it makes flesh, some makes bone, and some makes blood to supply the different parts of the body. So therefore we should take a certain amount of food to keep up the system. The people, long ago, could fast longer than nowadays. The people used to eat plenty of porridge long ago, but now they only eat small quantities.
    Long ago the people used to eat three meals a day, the breakfast, the dinner, and the supper. There was very little tea used at that time. They took their breakfast at about eight o'clock a. m., their dinner at one o'clock, and their supper
