    is very hilly and there is not as much motor traffic on it as on the main Castleblayney to Ballybay Road which runs almost parallel to the Old Road. The Main Road is much wider, steam rolled, tarred and easy to travel on for buses and motors. The Castleblayney to Monaghan Trunk Road is the principal road for the buses coming from Castleblayney to Monaghan. It is kept in good repair.
    The Ballytrain Road leads from Castleblayney to Ballytrain, and there are branches of it to other places. It is kept in good repair also.
    The Dundalk Road leads from Castleblayney to Dundalk.
    The Carrickmacross Road is also known as the trunk road, and it is a continuation
