    forks". This meaning is got from the fact that the road is divided into two at Edraguil school and Edraguil townland is situated between the two branches of the road.

    Coolkill in Irish Cul Chill, meaning at the "back of the Church" (or Cill). There was an old church in Ednraguil graveyard the outline of the old walls is still visible. The back of the church was towards Coolkill. This is probably how Coolkill got its name.
