- Móin na dTrígh gCailín
There is a field on my father's land called Móin na dTrígh gCailín. It is said that three witches lived in an old house in that field about two hundred years ago. The story is told of the owner of the field who went out early in the morning to bring home the cows.
When he went into the field he saw three cows standing together and three hares milking them. The farmer happened to have a greyhound with him and when she saw the hares she followed them to the witches' house. They jumped in through a window and immediately turned into three old witches.
