  1. There was once a man named Peter O'Keeffe who was very strong. He performed many great feats and was much admired for his strength. Once there was a man with a horse and cart going down the Quay of Waterford and his horse shied and ran away. The owner tried to stop the horse but did not succeed. The police tried also but failed.
At last Peter O'Keeffe came and catching the heels of the cart whirled the horse across the road and knocked him. The strong man was much admired for his strength and was awarded a gold medal.
