- One moonlight night when my father was coming from Kilmacow he saw a man walking beside him. He walked with him for about a hundred yards. When he came to a certain place on the road he went into James Gaule's field. As he went a little further he appeared again beside him. He disappeared again and went across the field to an old church. The people say he was killed going over the ditch. And his name was J. Walshe.
