  1. There are many forts in the district. There are three in Forkhill two in Nortons and one in Bergins. They are all in view of each other.
    They are all round and have trees and bushes all around them. These is a hole in the side for entrance.
    The forts are never ploughed or interfered with. It is thought that these forts had been built by the Danes for protection.
