    Matches are made in this district. Money is given as dowry but stock or goods are never given.
    Marriages took place in the houses of the brides about eighty years ago.
    A wedding-feast is held sometimes in the bride's house and sometimes at a hotel.
    Straw-boys do not visit the house nowadays but they did about ten years ago.
    They were dressed like wren-boys and sang and danced.
    The people were glad to see them and gave them supper
