  1. In my district there was a forge long ago and there was a story told about it that a man came in to the smith one day and he asked the smith was he a good smith and he said he was. The man asked him would he be able to straighten the hair of his head. The smith said he did not know but he would try. He tried and was not able.
    The strange man pulled a hair out of his own head and got the hammer and straightened the hair. But the man that straightened the hair was the devil.
