built a wall round the well. they built it with the serpents image on the top of the wall.
All the people 30 & 40 years ago went to do stations of the cross to the well. They used to leave relics after them on a small little bush that is growing inside the wall. They used to tie a piece of ribbon on the little bush. They had to go around six times in their bare feet and say certain prayers around the well. They used to go in the Summer months, May, June, July and they also had to go at night. It is in a lovely place. My mother goes to it every Summer.
