  1. One of the old landlords of this district evicted a number of tenants at one time for non-payment of rent. The poor people were very disturbed at having no home. They left the district altogether and went to Ballingeary.
    Some weeks later the landlords brother who lived in the midlands was killed for some foul deed he had committed. When the landlord heard of it he was troubled and he began to cry out and lament for his brother. An old woman - one of those who had been evicted a short time before - heard him crying
