- A Sidhe Gaoithe or fairy wind is sometimes seen. Old people say that it is the Holy Souls are passing when they hear the wind and see hay straw grass dust and all kinds of things being blown away. Old people say that it is not right for a person to go in the way of a sidhe gaoithe if he could help it and also if you are in the way of it always to throw something with it such as a piece of grass or dust of some such thing.I have heard these in use from time to time.
