  1. It is said that when Our Lord was a baby the following happened. One day when Our Blessed Lady was washing the Divine Infant, She placed the towel with which she dried Him on a blackthorn bush. At that time blossoms were not known to grow but when Our Blessed Lady went to take off the towel the bush was covered with blossoms. From that day the black thorn blossoms are always the first to appear
