    sold. Long ago it was the custom for women to go to fairs with the husbands, but this is not done at all now. it was no surprise to see women buying and selling while their husbands looked on.

  2. There are not many tailors living in this part of the country our nearest tailor being in Ballydehob. There are three tailors in Schull but it is the tailor in Ballydehob who makes clothes for the people in this locality.
