- There was a mill in Clare. It was owned by Mr. Flynn. There were weaving and spinning carried on. There were several men employed. Tom Brien, Ashroe was a weaver. He went to Dublin to the exhibition and remained there for some time teaching dumb people how tho weave. The people came from all parts of the country to buy the tweeds.
